Three people and four dogs were killed in a fire that destroyed a home in Lincoln Park.
It happened early Saturday morning in the 600 block of Mayflower near River Drive.
Police tell 7 Action News that a man made it out alive. His wife, who was pregnant, their 4-year-old nephew and a caretaker were killed.
The man was sleeping downstairs and escaped through the back door. He's hospitalized in the ICU.
The three victims were sleeping upstairs.
Investigators are trying to determine a cause.
