According to DTW, full tunnel access to the McNamara Terminal has been restored following flooding.

The Wayne County Airport Authority is encouraging travelers to contact their airlines with questions about their flights. They issued an updated statement Thursday afternoon:
"All roadways at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport are now open. The final tunnel with access to and from the McNamara Terminal reopened at approximately 3:30 p.m. The sheer amount of rain in a short period of time is the primary driver for flooding at DTW. A pump station at the airport lost power early Thursday morning; however, it’s unclear how much of an impact this had on the flooding. The Airport Authority will continue working to identify and address the root cause. We appreciate the patience of our customers and employees throughout the day."
The FAA also issued a ground stop at DTW through 11 a.m. due to storms.
In a statement, Delta said, “Due to localized flooding impacting roadway access for our people and customers to and from Detroit Metro Airport, Delta is processing cancelations this morning due to operational need and to ensure everyone’s safety. We expect further cancelations and delays as the morning continues. We know this is an inconvenience to our customers and we apologize for the disruption to their travel plans. “
We're told that Delta is in touch with local agencies to see when the road can reopen, and Delta has about 300 scheduled departures for today out of DTW.
