Dearborn Heights police say two sisters were killed in an accident involving a semi truck on Thursday morning.
The accident happened around 9 a.m. near the intersection of Van Born and Beech Daly.
People close to the victims say 23-year-old Heidi Fox and 19-year-old Samantha Fox were traveling in a Ford Focus on Beech Daly when they reportedly ran a red light and hit the trailer of a semi truck.
The sisters died in the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
