(WXYZ) — The United Auto Workers have released information about the Article 30 charges filed against former UAW President Gary Jones and Regional Director Vance Pearson.

Jones, who resigned as president of the union on Wednesday, is accused of breaching his duty by having almost $250,000 in off-site expenses billed as an on-site reception for the 2014 Leadership Conference in Palm Springs.

As part of that conference, several UAW officials, including Jones, stayed at Townhomes the union rented near the resort. As part of their Article 30 charges against Jones, the union says Jones arranged for his daughter to stay in one of the townhouses after the conference was over. The complaint makes clear that after the conference the UAW did not have a legitimate use for the townhouse.

A third charge alleges that at the 2016 conference, Jones also directed that invoices be billed as off-site expenses, without pertinent information, making them "false, misleading, and/or incomplete."

In the Article 30 complaint against Vance Pearson, the union contends Pearson was also involved in the actions that allowed for invoiced for the 2016 conference to be billed as off-site expenses, without pertinent information, making them "false, misleading, and/or incomplete."
