(WXYZ) — In tonight's 7 UpFront segment we're looking at the Federal Emergency Management Agency's response to the June flooding that hammered metro Detroit and the important deadline that is approaching this month.
We're being joined by La-Tanga Hopes, a Public Affairs Specialist with FEMA, to talk about it.
You can see the full interview in the video player above.
"With FEMA things are never over when they're over, but for right now what we're doing is we're asking everyone to be mindful of the fact that September 13th, which is a Monday, will be the day that we end registration," Hopes says. "That's our targeted date. So anyone that is looking to consider filing an application with FEMA, if you were impacted by the June 25th and 26th flooding and heavy rains, please come in, please call or go to DisasterAssistance.Gov and get yourself registered."
