Examining the Metro Detroit Black Business Alliance's first year

(WXYZ) — In tonight's 7 UpFront we're examining the efforts of the Metro Detroit Black Business Alliance as they prepare for their first anniversary tomorrow.

We're being joined by their President and CEO Charity Dean to talk about it.

"We are celebrating one year of the Metro Detroit Black Business Alliance. We have nearly 400 members. To date, we have been able to open our Black business resource center, which is free internet and coworking, free printing for Black-owned businesses," Dean says. "We've helped Black-owned businesses get close to $4 million in capital. We've launched so many programs, we've hosted dozens of events and we are just getting started."
