(WXYZ) — As crews work diligently to restore power to all of those still in the dark, we're being joined for the 7 UpFront segment by the President and COO of DTE Electric Trevor Lauer.
He'll be talking with us about the recovery from the recent storm and how they're dealing with the increase in damage from the storms we've seen all season.

"It's been very challenging for our customers, I want to start with that and recognize how hard it is not to have power," Lauer says. "Our crews have been working really diligently in the two days. We've restored a lot of customers, we're down to 225,000 at 3:00. I'll get another update late this evening and my hope is by the end of this weekend we'll have the vast majority of customers back in power. We've got about 2,800 men and women that are working around the clock, in the field, restoring customers right now."
