(WXYZ) — One person has been critically injured after a crash near downtown Detroit.
Police say a 2020 Jeep Compass apparently struck a curb on Gratiot Avenue and I-375 before crashing through a wall and down onto the Dequindre Cut.
The vehicle reportedly burst into flames.
Police say the driver was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
It is currently not known whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident.
