DETROIT (WXYZ) — Vice President Mike Pence postponed his visit to Detroit in the wake of two mass shootings over the weekend.
Pence was scheduled to speak at the Detroit Economic Club on Wednesday.
The White House released the following statement:
“In light of the tragic events in El Paso and Dayton, the Vice President thought it was appropriate to postpone his speech to the Detroit Economic Club to a later date.”
Members who bought tickets were informed and are being refunded.
