Hacker group Anonymous has released a video threatening action against those responsible for the Flint water crisis.

The group—which is comprised of self-described online activists--published video to YouTube on January 20.

Today, Hurley Medical Center in Flint confirmed to 7 Action News it was recently the victim of a cyber-attack.

The hospital released this statement:

"Hurley medical center has IT systems in place which aid in detecting a virus or cyber attack.  As such, all policies and protocols were followed in relation to the most recent cyber attack on our system. Patient care was not compromised and we are closely monitoring all systems to ensure IT security is consistently maintained."

Right now, there is no confirmation Anonymous was behind the cyber attack.

Meanwhile, the head of the EPA spoke with Governor Rick Snyder and issued a letter. It is a Safe Drinking Water Act Emergency Order. The letter comes at the same time the region 5 administrator Susan Hedman is resigning effective February 1.

The EPA is now ordering immediate action.

They are requiring both Michigan and Flint to take "a series of immediate steps to address the drinking water contamination in Flint."

It also requires necessary information be provided to the public.
