HOLLY, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Holly Police Department have arrested the man captured on video wiping his nose and face on the shirt of a store clerk.
Police say the man, identified as Rex Howard Gomoll, allegedly entered a Dollar Tree store on N. Saginaw St. on May 2. The clerk told him that all in-store customers must wear a mask to enter, per the signs posted on the entry doors.
He reportedly walked over to the clerk and wiped his nose and face on her shirt, saying, "Here, I will use this as a mask."
Police say he continued to be loud and disruptive inside the store before leaving in a white van.
Gomoll has been charged with misdemeanor assault and battery. He is set to be arraigned Wednesday at 9 a.m.
