Clinton Township police are investigating a police chase that ended in a crash Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened on 16 Mile Road (Metro Parkway) and Harper. Police say it began when police observed a suspicious vehicle. When they approached the car, it fled and a short chase ensued. That chase ended in a crash.
Police say there was a 5-year-old in the car, however, there were only minor injuries from the crash. It is unclear who all sustained injuries from the crash.
The driver of the car is in custody.
No other details have been provided, and the reason the driver fled in the first place is still under investigation.
