(WXYZ) — Chopper 7 went up over metro Detroit on Wednesday afternoon to explore storm damage in the area. Severe storms moved through the area on Tuesday leaving destruction in their wake.
In all, more than 300,000 people lost power in the outages, and DTE Energy said they expect to have 75% of people restored by Wednesday night and 90% by the end of the day on Thursday.

Some of the areas that had major damage include Rochester Hills, Troy, Southfield, Plymouth and more.
