Would you let your phone design you an outfit?
That’s the idea behind a new partnership between Google and H&M-backed company Ivyrevel.
The digital fashion company just introduced the Data_Dress. Designed by Google technology, the dress is completely personalized to the wearer.
According to a news release from the Ivyrevel, the Data Dress app learns your style, where you like to hang out and what you like to do based off of your personal data. Then, it takes all of those elements and combines them into a custom-made outfit.
Using the Data Dress app, Ivyrevel says users will be able to watch their dress develop over the week before the final design is revealed.
Right now, the app is in beta testing, but a roll out to the public is expected later this year.
”It’s such an exiting moment. We're about to change the fashion industry by bringing the customer’s
personality into the design process through data technology. To get a unique piece of clothing today
you need to either buy a custom-made design piece or design it yourself, but that is generally not an
affordable option and most people lack the design experience. The Data Dress enables women
around the world to order a dress made entirely for them, that reflects the way they live their lives,"
said Aleksandar Subosic, co-founder of Ivyrevel, in a statement.
I wonder what it'd create for me based off of my napping habits?
