One woman is in custody after a police chase ended with a fatal crash in Detroit.
Warren police say the initial stop was attempted at East 8 Mile and Fairfield. The low-speed chase was for less than one mile and ended in the area of Lappin and Schoenherr on Fairport in Detroit.
The driver of the car that was hit, a 19-year-old woman, died from the crash. A 15-year-old passenger in the car was injured.
Police say the driver of the fleeing car, a 28-year-old woman, is in custody. They attempted to stop her because she was known to them and was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
