Detroit Police Chief James Craig will hold a press conference on the officer-involved shooting that occurred Wednesday night, as well as the ongoing funeral home investigation.
The shooting involved two officers on Detroit's west side. Police were responding to a call of a felonious assault.
When officers arrived, they encountered the suspect and said it appeared it was reaching for a gun and was shot multiple times by officers. The suspect is in critical condition.
Police will also provide an update on funeral home investigations. Eleven fetuses were found in the ceiling of the former Cantrell Funeral Home, while 63 infant remains were removed from Perry Funeral Home in Detroit.
