(WXYZ) — Sony dropped the first trailer Monday for "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" and you'll want to see Tom Hanks portray the iconic Mister Rogers.
The film is based on the true story of the real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod, who profiled Rogers for Esquire in 1998 in a story titled, "Can You Say...Hero?"
Matthew Rhys, known for his role in FX's show, "The Americans," will play Junod, and the film is out on Thanksgiving.
