WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — A woman was found dead in a house fire in Waterford Township on Tuesday. Police are investigating the incident as a homicide.

Witnesses report seeing a man at the home on North Lynn Street at 5 p.m. Monday and again at 10:30 p.m. Witnesses also report seeing the man at the house previously, but he has not been identified at this time, police say.

Police describe the man as between the ages of 25 and 35 with a long face and nose, and short hair. He has reportedly been seen driving an older model rusted white minivan. The van was seen at the house on Tuesday, as well. Police say he has been seen cutting the lawn at that home several times before and after loading his lawnmower back into the minivan.

Police say he may provide lawn cutting services to others.

Waterford police are asking the public to identify and locate the subject and vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Al Knapp at 248-618-6077.
