HAMTRAMCK, Mich. — All charges against Ibrahim Aljahim, a former Hamtramck community liaison officer at Oakwood International Academy, accused of sexually assaulting a student with disabilities, have been dropped.
Judge Alexis G. Krot of the 31st District Court, dismissed all charges against Aljahim Thursday at the conclusion of his preliminary hearing examination.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy made the announcement shortly later.
Aljahim had been charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct after an 18-year-old male student accused the four-year community liaison of assaulting him inside of a car at school.
Details of why the charges were dropped have not been released.
Aljahim is well known in Metro Detroit political and social circles. His case stunned many when it surfaced in September. He worked as a volunteer in the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
