(WXYZ) — There’s plenty of good and not so good for 46,000 United Autoworkers Union members to consider when they vote on whether to ratify their new agreement with General Motors.
The full contract language, the so-called White Book is now available here.

The Detroit-Hamtramck plant is the only one of four that GM wanted to close that will have life after this contract. GM says it will invest $7.7 billion into U.S. facilities and add or retain 9,000 jobs. But the numbers for Poletown are not exact.
On page 269 of the White Book, there is a letter to the union from the company that says electric truck manufacturing there will be a $3 billion investment and approximately 2225 new jobs. But the key wording is, “when full volumes are attained.”
Workers we talked with have a lot of questions and will have informational meetings through their local unions and then vote during the next week. The strike will continue until ratification.
