Wind advisory issued for southeast Michigan until 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued wind advisory for eight counties Saturday afternoon. 

St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee, and Monroe county residents should expect winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph until 10 p.m.

Impacts include: 

  • Hazardous driving for high profile vehicles
  • Unsecured light outdoor objects will be blown around
  • Downed tree limbs and power lines are possible and may lead to sporadic power outages

Residents are encouraged to use extra caution.

Winds should diminish by midnight, according to the National Weather Service.
