Hudson was given a $1 million cash/surety bond, and if released, he must wear a steel cuff tether.

This incident happened early Saturday morning. According to police, officers were on patrol in the area of 8 Mile and Ryan when they saw three Dodge Chargers traveling at a high rate of speed, believed to be drag racing. Officers tried to pull them over, with the driver of one Charger pulling over and the other attempting to flee. From there, a pursuit began.

In the area of 10 Mile west of Dequindre in Madison Heights, one of the Chargers struck a Jeep Cherokee where Michaels was a passenger. She was seriously injured and later pronounced dead.

"The way these people were driving, their vehicle was a weapon," said Warren Police Commissioner Charles Rushton at the press conference. "It is basically a 5,000-pound bullet driving down 8 mile."

Hudson and two other passengers from the Dodge charger were also seriously injured in the crash. Hudson was taken into custody after he was hospitalized.

Police are still searching for suspects in the other Dodge charger that fled the scene.

“This incident shows the severe consequences of reckless behavior and fleeing from law enforcement," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido. "A precious life has been lost and three others injured due to the senseless action of this individual. We will pursue justice for the victims and their families, ensuring that the perpetrator is held accountable for these crimes."
