Detroit police are investigating after a 20-year-old woman was killed in an early morning crash on the city's northwest side.

Evergreen is closed near Clarita as officers continue to investigate.

Police say the driver lost control of the vehicle around 1 a.m. and crashed into a light pole, cutting it in half. The woman was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene, according to officers.

Three others were rushed to the hospital for their injuries.

We're told a neighbor heard the accident, and notified the family.

Family has identified the victim as 20-year-old Cierra Nicole Bean.

"I gotta tell my kids about their auntie being gone that they love so much," said Laronte Bean, the victim's brother. "She was definitely an angel..."
