(WXYZ) — Fewer than 10 percent of Americans are vegetarian or vegan, according to a Gallup poll from 2018. But the number is growing.
And now you’ll find food to support a plant-based diet on a growing number of store shelves and restaurant menus.
So we asked our 7 Action News viewers to weigh in on the best vegan and vegetarian-friendly restaurants in metro Detroit. It’s our Thursday’s Top 7.
Chances are you know someone who has adopted a plant-based lifestyle. Some for health reasons, others for religious conviction, environmental concern or animal welfare. No matter what the reason, vegan, veggie or carnivore, you want to eat well!

Coming in at #7 is Seva. They have locations in Midtown Detroit and Ann Arbor. They cater to vegetarians and vegans! And have a full bar, juice bar and after-work Happy Hour.

#3 Street Beet (Pop Up)
The popular pop-up Street Beet comes in 3rd. Fans wait for hours for a table at their takeovers. Fake chicken and vegan spins on familiar sandwiches keep folks coming back for more.
