Last remnants of Tigers winning era gone in a garage sale

Posted

The Tigers tried getting ahead of Black Friday sales by opening the doors to Comerica Park for a limited-time sale of game-used gear.

They sold a bunch of memorabilia from guys who’ve won the World series. There were Jack Morris and Alan Trammell commemorative Hall of Fame items.

Then there was a longer, growing list items from a group of guys who were part of the front office’s Black Friday sale for the last few years.

It’s been two years since the Tigers held a memorabilia sale like this one. One day only, selling items for up to 70 percent off.

In that time, a lot has changed.

Want a Justin Verlander jersey, a JD Martinez shoe, or an Ian Kinsler glove? Sure. If you can find one. The list of items for sale was impressive to baseball fans, but not without realizing the sale represented the era this franchise is in right now.
