DETROIT (WXYZ) -- Andrew Romine, who played all nine positions in a game for the Tigers in September, has been claimed off waivers by the Seattle Mariners.
Romine spent the past four seasons with Detroit.
The Tigers announced Thursday that they have declined the option on Anibal Sanchez, making him a free agent.
Additionally, Detroit outrighted four players from its major league roster on Thursday: pitcher Jeff Ferrell and outfielders Jim Adduci, Tyler Collins, and Alex Presley.
The Tigers' active roster currently stands at 34 players following Thursday's moves.
