In addition to his name and number going up on the wall at Comerica Park, Morris received a framed jersey, a number 47 seat from old Tiger Stadium, and a "47" statue made of crystal.
Alan Trammell, who was inducted with Morris into the Baseball Hall of Fame last month, is scheduled to be honored with his own number-retirement ceremony August 26.
