DETROIT (WXYZ) -- Tigers pitcher Matthew Boyd and his wife Ashley welcomed a baby girl, Meira Joy Boyd, on Thursday.
Boyd announced the news Friday on his Instagram account.
Boyd is scheduled to start for the Tigers on Saturday night.
