Michael Fulmer joined forces with Carhartt to help veterans this past season, and it paid off.
The final tally Fulmer and four other MLB pitchers raised to help veterans in 'Strikeouts for Vets' was $125,400.
Carhartt tabbed Fulmer, Chris Sale, Corey Kluber, Jacob degrom, and Felix Hernandez as their rotation. For each strikeout, the company pledged $100 to Helmets to Hardhats, a nonprofit that 'helps military members transition back into civilian life and secure a quality career in the building and trade industry.'
Doing the math, there were 1,004 total strikeouts in the group. Carhartt added an extra $25,000 because their starting rotation topped every other team's rotation.
