DETROIT (WXYZ) -- A ceremonial groundbreaking was held Monday for the new Detroit Pistons headquarters in the city's New Center neighborhood.
Upon completion, the Henry Ford Health System Detroit Pistons Peformance Center will not only house the team's practice facility, but also the team's primary offices. In the meantime, the Pistons continue to use their Auburn Hills practice facility.
The new 175,000-square foot facility, located approximately two miles north of Little Caesars Arena, is expected to be completed in 2019.
