Bates' father, Elgin Bates, announced the formation of Ypsi Prep earlier this year.
Ypsi Prep will face Team Sizzle of Minnesota Thursday night at Concordia University in Ann Arbor. The game will air on ESPN2 at 8:30 p.m. and can also be streamed through the ESPN App.
