DETROIT (WXYZ) -- Brad Ausmus returned to Comerica Park on Tuesday for the first time since being let go as Tigers manager at the end of the 2017 season.
"You can just keep blaming me," Ausmus said when asked about being blamed for Detroit's lack of success with him as manager. "It makes it easier."
Ausmus went 314-332 over four seasons as Tigers manager. Detroit was swept by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2014 ALDS, the team's only postseason appearance under Ausmus.
Ausmus was named Angels manager in October 2018 after spending a season as a special assistant to the team's general manager.
