DETROIT — Brian Stuard returned to Michigan in 2019, playing a PGA Tour event in his home state for the first time.
Like a lot of young golf fans in the state, he attended the Buick Open as a kid.
The Jackson native finished T-5 in the Rocket Mortgage Classic in 2019, giving young kids in this generation a reason to believe they could be like him.
"It was an awesome atmosphere last year for me. This year it will be just kind of a hometown feel, being back at Detroit Golf Club," he told WXYZ.
