Cassius Winston has a goal to be a first rounder in the NBA Draft.

That may not align with most thought processes of basketball fans, but Winston has always surprised people.

"My ceiling isn’t the same at Giannis’ ceiling,” he said Monday with a smile. "That's just the fact of the matter. I won't be Giannis in the NBA."

Winston pointed out how successful, four-year point guards like himself are closer to "sure things." The University of Detroit product has talked with eight or nine teams, he said in a video conference call. He's going to meet with the Pistons next week.

“I would say I had a great career. I pretty much accomplished just about everything you could out of a career,” Winston said. The Spartans standout said he was proud of the team's fight to win a share of the Big Ten regular season title in what ultimately was his final game in an MSU uniform.
