(WXYZ) — The rivalry between Central Michigan and Western Michigan will move to the Motor City this year as the Chippewas and Broncos will meet at Ford Field.
CMU officials announced Wednesday the game will take place at Ford Field, the first time in the more than 100-year history the game will happen off of either school's campus.
Shuttles will be available for students of both schools to travel to Detroit for the game
The two teams first played in 1907 and Western Michigan leads the rivalry 50-38-2. The Broncos have won seven of the last 9 meetings.
