Felder hires agent, will stay in NBA Draft

Posted
ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) -- Oakland University star Kay Felder has hired an agent and will stay in the NBA draft.

Felder said in a statement Tuesday that he had not hired an agent and would keep his options open, but a school spokesman confirmed Friday that Felder has now hired one. If he had not hired an agent, Felder could have backed out of the draft and returned to Oakland.

The 5-foot-9 Felder led the nation with 9.2 assists per game this season as a junior, and he was fourth in scoring at 24.2 points per game.

Felder is the second Oakland player to declare for the draft early. Keith Benson did it in 2010, but ended up returning for his senior year.
