The last time Dequan Finn saw Darius Slay in-person, the Detroit King quarterback had suffered a 42-8 loss to Cass Tech in the PSL championship.
Slay was in the stands for the city title game that October night. A month later, the pair reunited under much happier circumstances.
Finn was named Mr. Football for the 2018 season, and Slay was the one who told him with a surprise at the Southfield offices of State Champs! Network.
