The Detroit Lions announced they have acquired offensive tackle Greg Robinson in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams.

The team traded a sixth round draft pick in 2018 to the Rams in exchange for Robinson.

Robinson, 24, was the second overall draft pick out of Auburn for the then St. Louis Rams. The 6-foot-5 offensive tackle had under performed and was expected to be a backup for Los Angeles this season.

He has one year left on his contract after the Rams decided not to pick up his fifth-year option for 2019.

Robinson started at left tackle in all 14 games he played for Los Angeles.

The team also announced they signed free agent offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandijo, who played three years for Buffalo before this season.

The 6-foot-7 tackle was drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Alabama.
