The Detroit Lions are signing kicker Matt Prater to a 3-year contract extension, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
The contract is worth $11.4 million, according to Rapoport, with a maximum of $12.15 million.
Prater, 33, has been with Detroit since 2014 and has been one of the Lions' most consistent players.
He has made 84 of 98 attempted field goals, and is 19-24 from 50 yards or more, 24-30 from 40-49 yards, 19-22 from 30-39 yards and 22-22 from 20-29 yards. He has also made 103 of 108 extra points.
He was a pro bowler in 2016 and named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week three times in 2016 and one time so far this season.
