DETROIT, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Detroit Lions winning their final game of the season 31-0 at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers is pretty bittersweet.
It's always good to end the season on a high note, especially on the road against a division rival. However, there is a price to be paid.
The win unfortunately pushed the Lions back three spots in the 2019 NFL Draft. Going into Week 17, the Lions were slated to pick No. 5 overall in the draft. Now, after the win, they will select No. 8.
Most NFL Draft experts believe the Lions will draft a defensive lineman in the first round, but it wouldn't be strange to see them draft a cornerback either. But there is a lot of time between now and the draft, and a lot could change at any moment.
Here is the official top 10 for this April's draft:
- Arizona Cardinals
- San Francisco 49ers
- New York Jets
- Oakland Raiders
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- New York Giants
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- Detroit Lions
- Denver Broncos
- Buffalo Bills
