The Detroit Red Wings have re-signed right winger Martin Frk to a one-year contract.
The Red Wings prospect spent most of 2016-17 with the Grand Rapids Griffins after he was originally acquired on waivers by the Carolina Hurricanes to start the season.
Frk, 23, was Detroit's second-round pick in the 2012 draft and scored 27 goals with 50 points for the Griffins last season. He also had five goals and 10 assists in 16 Calder Cup playoff games.
