DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Detroit Red Wings announced on Wednesday they have signed defenseman Brian Lashoff to a two-year contract extension. Lashoff, 28, has spent the entire season with the Red Wings' AHL affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins.
He joined the Red Wings after going undrafted in 2008 and has played in 123 NHL games for the Wings and 444 AHL games for the Griffins. During his time in Detroit over the span of five seasons, Lashoff has 13 points and 57 minutes.
During his 44 games with Grand Rapids this season, he has 11 points and a +8 rating.
