(WXYZ) — The Detroit Tigers announced they have acquired catcher Tucker Barnhart from the Cincinnati Reds.

The Tigers traded minor league infielder Nick Quintana to the Reds in the exchange.

Barhart is a two-time winner of the Gold Glove Award.

The Detroit Tigers tweeted a quote from Barnhart on Wednesday afternoon.
