BEREA, Ohio (WXYZ) -- It seemed inevitable: Jabrill Peppers getting asked about being a Michigan Wolverine drafted by a team in the Buckeye state.
When the question indeed came up at Friday's introductory press conference, Peppers went the diplomatic route.
"I'm not really worried about the Buckeyes," Peppers said with a smile. "I'm happy to be a member of the Cleveland Browns organization. That's all real petty stuff."
But Peppers showed that he still leans maize and blue when asked a follow-up question about whether he would join in if the crowd starts the Buckeyes' signature "O-H-I-O" chant during a time-out.
"No. Absolutely not," Peppers laughed.
