The Lions offense got a boost this week with the addition of running back Justin Forsett. Forsett is in his ninth season in the NFL and he's 30 years old, but he says he's far from done when it comes to being able to produce on the football field.
When asked about what he would say to those who think he's 'too old' to make a big impact this season, Forsett responded confidently, "Watch me."
"I've always played with a chip on my shoulder. I mean, I've 5'8", 195 pounds, and a seventh round draft pick so nine years and I still have a chip," said Forsett.
The Lions are still without running back Ameer Abdullah (foot), but Forsett will share touches with Theo Riddick. Riddick scored two touchdowns in their win over the Eagles, and his has been the team's go-to running back since Abdullah went down.
