ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) -- The Lions waived tight end Brandon Pettigrew from the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list on Friday.
Pettigrew, drafted by Detroit in 2009, did not play a game in 2016. He began the season on the PUP list with a 2015 ACL injury.
During his 93 career regular-season games with the Lions, Pettigrew caught 301 passes for 2,965 yards and 17 touchdowns. 2015 was Pettigrew's least-productive season of activity, catching just seven passes for 67 yards and a touchdown over eight games.
