Actress Kristen Bell grew up in Michigan the same time the Red Wings were growing into a Stanley Cup contender.

On the Rich Eisen Show this week, Bell revealed how much she loved the Red Wings, and how far her fanhood went.

"They were all gods to me. I wore a tag on my shirt that said 'Mrs. Osgood,'" Bell said.

"When I was growing up,... everybody was obsessed with hockey, so my high school career, nobody cared about Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise," she added.

The crushes for Bell and her friends? Red Wings players.

"As a young girl, I had posters of Darren McCarty and Chris Osgood and all those guys on my wall."

It turns out that love for hockey ultimately worked out for her. Bell met her husband, fellow Michigan native Dax Shepard, at a Kings/Red Wings game in Los Angeles.

Bell even said she played roller hockey when she was 16 years old, but said she lasted only one season.

"It was a shortly-lived career," she said.

She hurt both of her wrists, and joked about her spending her entire school year with two casts.
