SAGINAW, Mich. — Shane Wright has a bright hockey future ahead.
He's one of six players to ever get exceptional status in Canada. Connor McDavid, John Tavares, and Red Wings prospect Joe Veleno received the status, which allowed them to play in a Canadian Hockey League at the age of 15.
Wright made stops in Michigan to end the month of February, when his Kingston Fronts played against the Saginaw Spirit and Flint Firebirds.
The 16-year-old phenom talked with WXYZ Detroit about handling hype, his favorite players, and life as a star.
