How close did Jacob Trouba come to being dealt to the Red Wings last year?
"I don't know. That's not a question for me," the Jets defenseman said with a laugh on Tuesday.
Trouba, who grew up in Rochester, held out last year and asked for a trade. He ultimately signed a two-year contract worth $3 million per season.
This season, he has two goals and seven assists in 27 games for the Western Conference-leading Jets.
