(WXYZ) — Jack Hughes is the top prospect in this June's NHL Draft.
He's handling the attention with humility and by saying all the right things.
WXYZ spent the day with Hughes and roommate/teammate Alex Turcotte for a USA NTDP game. Ahead of the NHL Draft, Brad Galli asked Hughes what it would be like to land in Detroit.
"I think the Wings would be sick, obviously. It's the NHL. Anywhere you go is gonna be really cool, but family lives around here. It'd be really cool," he said.
Jack's older brother Quinn played at Michigan for two seasons after playing in the NTDP. He's with the Vancouver Canucks now. Their youngest brother Luke is committed to Michigan and plays with Little Caesars.
The Red Wings have the fourth-best odds in Tuesday's NHL Draft lottery.
